Galerija Belgrade is located on the promenade of the Save river, just before it flows into the Danube. Bauherr is a joint venture between the Serbian government and Eagle Hills, a private investment company based in Abu Dhabi that focuses on real estate and community development. The complex covers a total of around 300,000 square metres on three levels, of which 146,000 square metres are for commercial purposes and 3,600 parking spaces. A colourful mix of shops, restaurants and cafes for all generations is intended to make the centre an attractive destination for locals and tourists. The concept also includes cinemas and event halls.

Quality and service are right

Since construction began in 2017 September the fischer group of companies has delivered a wide range of products and systems to Serbia via its national subsidiary in Austria, in order to realise many different assemblies and installations in the concrete structure as well as hollow bricks that have also been installed. The fisher FAZ II and FBN II bolt anchors were used in various versions for fastening heavy cables. Anchor dimensioning and numerous pull-out tests were also included in the scope of service. In addition, the media lines were almost completely fixed in place with Fischer installation systems. “More than 55 kilometres of our FUS and FLS rail systems, including all system components and other accessories, were used for the technical building equipment,” says Slavoljub Vukčević, Technical Consultant of the fischer Landesgesellschaft in Austria. "Our FRSM and FRS pipe clamps were also used for pipe fastening. The customer also processed more than 35,000 of our FRSP clamps together with our EA II and FAZ II steel anchors to install the sprinkler systems." This wide range of fixing and mounting solutions from a single source accelerated the installation of the pipes in the technical building equipment, simplified installation, reduced construction time and consequently reduced project costs.

Approximately 70 percent of the fire protection work was carried out by the contractors with the fischer FireStop range, thereby increasing safety for people, property and infrastructure in the event of a fire breaking out. Numerous fastening products from the fischer Group were also used for the fastening of railings, facade elements, aluminium applications and steel structures. “These products included around 8,000 FH II high-performance anchors and over 30,000 FBN II bolt anchors, more than 9,000 SXRL long-shank anchors and chemical anchors, such as the FIS AB injection mortar with threaded rods available in Austria,” adds Alen Ilic, Technical Consultant at the Austrian subsidiary of the fisher group.

“There were several reasons why the customers chose our products,” says Christian Greicha, Managing Director of our Austrian subsidiary. "On the one hand, the decision-makers were impressed by the price-performance ratio and the quality. The wide range of fastening solutions as well as the technical support and on-site service impressed. The good cooperation with the regional dealers was also highlighted.
