"Raffles City" in Chongqing, China is a mega structure. The new world record building includes the tallest "horizontal skyscraper" on earth. Around 300,000 fischer Zykon FZP II panel anchors ensure a firm hold for the natural stone panels on all eight skyscrapers that make up the structure.
With more than 82,000 square kilometres, Chongqing is the city with the largest area in the world and has over 30 million inhabitants. Raffles City Chongqing" has added a new landmark to the metropolis. The project, whose developer is the CapitaLand Group, was completed in 2019 after a seven-year construction period. The "Raffles City Chongqing" includes six 250-metre-high skyscrapers to the south and two 350-metre-high skyscrapers to the north. Covering a total area of 1.12 million square metres, it houses flats, offices, a shopping centre, a hotel and other mixed-use facilities.
