"Raffles City" in Chongqing, China is a mega structure. The new world record building includes the tallest "horizontal skyscraper" on earth. Around 300,000 fischer Zykon FZP II panel anchors ensure a firm hold for the natural stone panels on all eight skyscrapers that make up the structure.

With more than 82,000 square kilometres, Chongqing is the city with the largest area in the world and has over 30 million inhabitants. Raffles City Chongqing" has added a new landmark to the metropolis. The project, whose developer is the CapitaLand Group, was completed in 2019 after a seven-year construction period. The "Raffles City Chongqing" includes six 250-metre-high skyscrapers to the south and two 350-metre-high skyscrapers to the north. Covering a total area of 1.12 million square metres, it houses flats, offices, a shopping centre, a hotel and other mixed-use facilities.
A special feat of engineering is the bridge "The Crystal" - the highest "horizontal skyscraper" in the world. The structure measures 300 metres long, 32.5 metres wide and 26.5 metres high. It spans four 250-metre-high skyscrapers and builds further supporting bridges to the two neighbouring 350-metre-high skyscrapers. "The Crystal" houses a gallery, a clubhouse and much more. A viewing platform juts out at either end. With glass beneath their feet, visitors can enjoy a sweeping view of the city here. Raffles City Chongqing" was designed by the world-renowned Israeli architect Moshe Safdie. He was already responsible for another project in which fischer façade systems were also used: The Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

An essential component of the "Raffles City Chongqing" project are the facades of the buildings, which are clad with glass and the reddish natural stone Red Sesame Granite at the podium. They are both the face and the protection of the buildings. fischer Zykon FZP II panel anchors in quantities of around 300,000 ensure that the natural stone panels are firmly fixed to the structures.
The FZP II anchors ensure a form-fit and completely expansion pressure-free fixing in the conically undercut drill hole.
In addition, the undercut technology offers visual advantages.
